1. Acceptance of Terms

By using the App, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you may not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Akademus is a learning tool that uses artificial intelligence (AI) to help users process and understand study materials. Core features include text scanning, generating smart summaries, quizzes, and flashcards from user-uploaded content.

3. Subscriptions and Payments

The App offers paid subscriptions (e.g., "Basic" and "Pro") that unlock premium features.

Billing: Subscriptions are managed and billed through your App Store (Apple) or Google Play Store (Google) account.

Auto-renewal: Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period expires.

Cancellation: You can manage and cancel your subscription at any time through your App Store or Google Play Store account settings.

4. User Responsibilities

By using the App, you agree not to:

  • Use the App for any unlawful purposes.
  • Scan or upload material for which you do not have legal rights or a license to use (e.g., copyrighted material). You are solely responsible for the content you upload.
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to discover the source code of the App.

5. Intellectual Property

All rights to the App, including its design, software, brand, and logos, are owned by Akademus. Content you generate using the App (summaries, quizzes, flashcards) is your property for personal, non-commercial use.

6. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

The App is provided "as-is" without any warranties.

AI Content Accuracy: Content generated by artificial intelligence (summaries, quizzes, flashcards) may contain errors or inaccuracies. It is intended solely as a study aid and should not be considered absolutely accurate. You are responsible for verifying the accuracy of information before relying on it for academic or any other purposes. We are not liable for any consequences (e.g., exam failure) that may arise from using inaccurate AI-generated content.

7. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes. Continued use of the App after modifications will be considered your acceptance of the new Terms.
