FaithLock uses Apple's Screen Time API (Family Controls) to apply a shield on apps you select. When you try to open a blocked app, iOS shows FaithLock's custom shield. Tap it and complete a spiritual action — reading a verse, praying, or Bible chat — to earn timed access.

Any app installed on your iPhone. You choose using Apple's built-in app picker. FaithLock never sees the names of the apps you block — Apple's privacy model gives us only anonymous tokens. Free tier allows up to 3 apps; Premium allows unlimited.

You can always disable Screen Time in iOS Settings, which will remove all shields. FaithLock relies on your commitment — the app is a tool to support your intentions, not a hard lock. You also have Emergency Unlocks (limited per day) for genuine needs.

Quick Verse (~1 min): Read today's Bible verse and a brief reflection. Guided Prayer (~3 min): Share your mood and receive an AI-generated personalized prayer. Bible Chat (~5 min): Have a conversation with our AI devotional companion. Read a Chapter (~10 min): Read a Bible chapter in the full Bible reader.

Open iOS Settings > tap your name > Subscriptions > FaithLock > Cancel. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You'll keep premium access until then. Refunds must be requested directly from Apple.

You can request account deletion from within the app (Settings > Account > Delete Account) or by visiting our Data Deletion page. All your data will be permanently deleted within 30 days.

Currently FaithLock is designed for iPhone (iOS 16+). The Screen Time API features require iOS 16 or later. iPad and Mac support may be added in future updates.

Yes. AI chat and guided prayers use Groq's API and require an internet connection. Bible reading and the daily verse cache locally and work offline.
